Professional Biography

Riley Madden is a Colorado family law attorney whose practice focuses on litigation involving complex domestic relations matters. He represents clients in a broad range of family law disputes, bringing a practical and strategic approach to issues that can significantly impact families and their futures.

His family law practice includes dissolution of marriage, legal separation, division of property and debt, maintenance, attorney’s fees, and child-related matters such as decision-making authority, parenting time, and child support. Riley earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Drake University in 2000 and his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2004. He was admitted to the Colorado Bar later that year.

He is a member of the Colorado and Denver Bar Associations and remains active in both the Family Law Section and Young Lawyers Division. Riley is also a member of the Faculty of Federal Advocates and is a graduate of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy.

He has received significant professional recognition, including selection to Super Lawyers – Rising Stars from 2012 through 2018, an honor awarded to fewer than 2.5% of attorneys in Colorado. Riley was also recognized in Best Lawyers in America beginning in 2019.

Originally born in Aurora, Nebraska, Riley moved to Colorado at the age of two and has remained closely connected to the state ever since. Outside of his practice, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Jennifer, and their two daughters, Ava and Madeliene. He also enjoys traveling, cycling, fly-fishing, and skiing.
